Hi, I'm Robert Seitzberg and I am an entrepreneur and freelancer who specializes in digital marketing and web design. I help design growth machines for entrepreneurs and businesses who are looking to increase the number of clients they service or products they sell.
A growth machine is a set of digital platforms that are integrated together and automated to produce new sales or leads. To start the machine, you fuel it up with ad spend and you can expect the machine to crank out sales and leads at a 3-5X ROI on average.
I still remember the first computer we had growing up. It had a floppy drive and a 2 gb hard drive and I spent hours tinkering around with it, breaking it, and fixing it. When I turned eighteen, I went out and bought my first laptop, an HP windows millennium edition computer. My fascination for technology is what led me to work for a company called Insight in 2004 selling hardware and software to businesses.
Casey asked me to do an internet reality TV show for Couchsurfing.com
A few years after Insight I decided to travel and I discovered www.couchsurfing.com. With the help of Couchsurfing and the internet, I was finding new friends all over the world and staying with them on their couches for free. I eventually met Casey Fenton, one of the co-founders of Couchsurfing, and he asked me to do an internet reality TV show for Couchsurfing. The show was called The War On Them and we did ten episodes that I co-wrote, filmed and edited.
I took a short break from my focus on technology in 2008 while I worked for Wells Fargo Bank at the headquarters in San Francisco. I left the bank during the 2009 banking crisis and I moved instead out to Montreal, Canada where I went to school at Concordia University. I eventually dropped out of school to travel some more, and pursue other career opportunities. While I was at Concordia, I helped start and run another startup with my friend Casey called Wonder. It was an app for providing 360 anonymous feedback to your friends on social networks.
I am the owner and founder of Float and Votechain
It wasn't until a few years later though, that I finally started my own marketing company, and began servicing clients in the US and Canada. I founded Float in January of 2018 and have since also founded my own startup, Votechain that I hope to start fundraising for in the near future. My most recent role was as head of marketing at Upstock. My role there ended as they ran out of funds. They are currently seeking new investment.
Some other interesting facts about me are I was deployed to Iraq in 2003 with the United States Marine Corps reserves and my unit came home with a Presidential Unit Citation. I also started my first business, a hookah smoking lounge, in 2005. I've visited 35 of the 50 states, I've lived on 3 continents, and I currently live on the beach in Costa Rica.
